'Twas the Night Before My Wedding...

Yep, you heard that right, folks! I'm getting married... TOMORROW! Eeee! :)

I've absolutely nothing substantial to talk about as my head is full of wedding bliss mush, so here are my 5 best things from this week that are {mostly a little bit} school related.

1. Who doesn't find being alone at Target with endless amounts of cash to be a little slice of Heaven?!

2. We loved Double Digit Addition Scoot - adorably fall themed and perfect to review and get us through the last few days before T-giving break.

3. And I prepared a Subtraction version {full of Christmas magicalness} for when we return next week. Plus it's on SALE for Black Friday. :)

4. We've been sleeping pretty on these adorable pillowcases all week.  One of my amazing friends got them for us as an engagement present, and we've been waiting a whole YEAR to use them - it's finally time! :)

5. I'm off to decorate, attend my rehearsal/dinner & prepare to marry this amazing man tomorrow evening!

Have an incredible Friday!

Math Monday!

It's Monday!  But luckily, for most of us it's either a super short week or you're off completely and hopefully enjoying a relaxing Thanksgiving vacation.

I personally work till 3:30 on Tuesday and then it's a 4.5 hour drive home for OUR wedding festitivies! Eeeee! {Seriously, how am I even supposed to focus on school this week?!}
I mean, look how sweet this guy is....

Anyways, I guess I should get down to what you really stopped by for:
MATH!

No lie, this second grade math is still getting me, but WOW was subtraction oodles and oodles easier than addition! Maybe it was because we already knew the addition strategies and could easily apply them to subtraction... or that I'm just getting better at teaching it {yeah, let's go with the second reason}.

Since we're all getting ready for Christmas, and we'll still be in the trenches pounding out our subtraction skills when we return from break, here's a Double Digit Subtraction Scoot game without regrouping.
It's full of cute fesitiveness to get your kiddos excited to work hard on their subtraction skills.

November Currently!

I can't believe it's already November!  Okay, I can't be the only one who's thinking it... One marking period closer to summer! :)
I also get married at the verrrrrry end of the month, so I'll no doubt spend ALL of November thinking about the big day!

Moving along...
I'm listening to Sunday Night Football, watching intermittently, but mostly working on my computer on some school plans.

I'm LOVING this whole interactive notebook thing.  We used a fabulous one that I found that week to learn all about nouns {singular, plural, proper, common, possessive} & the kiddos LOVED it, too!  They were so excited to paste the headings into their notebooks and then record or research information to include.  And early finishers got to decorate their pages, which was always an easy & exciting incentive.
So, I'm officially on the notebooking train!
I just finished typing up this one for our Insects Unit

I am always thinking that I have the BEST fiance in the world, but especially on weekends like this one.
Saturday morning, while I was busy running & working out, he went and did all of the grocery shopping, then made me a delicious breakfast.  And all day today, he let me drag him around the mall, cooked dinner, cleaned up, washed & folded all of the laundry {I swear I'm not taking advantage - I was busy, too, haha}!

I wish I could have worked on my report cards today, but I didn't bring my work computer & just realized that I cannot access my report cards from my home computer... so I made some insects fun {above} instead.

Having an extra hour this weekend will not seem as fun when it's dark by the time I leave work this week, BUT I did enjoy waking up and having an extra hour in my day to accomplish things {not that I accomplished a whole lot more}.

And this Big Mac Salad just looks amazingly delicious.
Big Mac Salad with Big Mac Dressing. ....can be a meal in its self,,,,,I grilled our burgers fiirst and used McCormicks grill mate hamburger seasoning....whole family loved it as much as a taco salad...

Happy November!
